Fall in Connecticut

We are well into our first Fall season in the NE (or ever since we are all three Floridians). I have to say, it's pretty wonderful. I think that it even makes the long winter seem worth it (though check in around late February to see if that's still the case!!). I've also started putting our jogging stroller to good use since it has been perfect jogging weather. So far to celebrate the Fall we've gone both peach and apple picking. Madeline is quite the fan of picking fruit as it incorporates some of her favorite activities, all of which involve being outside: seeing trees, birds, and flowers; walking, sitting, rolling in the grass; eating lunch in the sunshine; putting things into and out of bags; riding on a tractor; and of course having our undivided attention. Here are some pictures from our most recent excursions.

Hello!

Before I had a baby, I always assumed that I would keep a baby blog to keep friends and family up-to-date with stories and pictures of Madeline. After having a baby though, I realized I was way too busy with the day to day. Now that Madeline is a little older and we've fully settled into parenting, I figured now is the time. I hope to post somewhat regular, short stories about our day so that you can follow along and we can have something to remember as the precious little moments fade away into distant memories.

I suspect I will be the primary blogger, but of course Alex may chime in from time to time as well. And will certainly be adding pictures and video. And perhaps one day, Madeline will have something to say on here. ;)
